Matcha Latte 🍵

Ingredients:

2 bamboo spoons of matcha powder
100 ml hot water (approx. 80 °C)
200 ml milk or plant-based milk alternative (e.g. oat, almond or soya milk)
Sweetener to taste (e.g. honey, agave syrup, sugar or directly a flavoured milk)

Preparation:

Stir the matcha powder:
Pour the matcha powder into a matcha bowl.
Add the hot water (approx. 80 °C).
Stir with a matcha whisk (chasen) until it is lump-free and frothy.
Froth the milk:
Froth the milk with a milk frother (e.g. CASO CappuLatte).
Heat the milk, but do not allow it to boil.
Serve:
Pour the stirred matcha into a glass or cup.
Add the warm milk.
Sweeten to taste and stir gently.

Hot lemon 🍋

Ingredients:

1 organic lemon
250 ml hot water (approx. 60-70 °C, not boiling)
Honey (optional, to taste)

Preparation:

Squeeze the lemon: Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a cup or heatproof glass.
Add water: Pour the hot water (not boiling, to preserve the lemon's vitamins) over the lemon juice.
Flavour: If you like, you can sweeten the hot lemon with a teaspoon of honey.

Tips:

Ginger boost: Add a small piece of ginger to enhance the warming effect.
Alternative sweetener: Instead of honey, you can also use agave syrup or maple syrup.
Extra kick: A pinch of turmeric or cinnamon for extra flavour and health benefits.

Winter orange tea 🍊

Ingredients:

Half an orange cut into slices
Juice of one orange
3 bags of black tea
2 cinnamon sticks
1 star anise
Juice of half a lemon
Honey to taste
Fresh mint

Preparation:

Prepare the ingredients: Slice the orange and place in a teapot with the juice of the orange and lemon.
Add the tea and spices: Place tea bags, cinnamon sticks and star anise in the pot.
Pour in water: Add 800 ml of hot water (approx. 90 °C) and stir well.
Brewing time: Leave to infuse for 10 minutes, then remove the tea bag.
Sweeten and serve: Flavour with honey, add mint and enjoy hot.

Apple-cranberry tea 🍏🍒

Ingredients:

1 diced apple
A handful of cranberries
2 letters of orange, juice of one orange
1 sprig of rosemary
2 cinnamon sticks
2 star anise
Optional: honey to sweeten
800 ml hot water

Preparation:

Prepare the ingredients:
Wash the apple thoroughly, remove the core and cut into small cubes.
If using fresh cranberries, rinse them briefly.
Cut the orange into two slices and squeeze out the remaining juice.
Make the tea: Place the diced apple, cranberries, orange slices and freshly squeezed orange juice in a large teapot. Add a sprig of rosemary, cinnamon sticks and star anise to enhance the winter flavour.
Add hot water: pour 800 ml of hot water (approx. 90 °C) over the ingredients. Stir everything well and leave the tea to infuse for around 10-15 minutes for optimum flavour development.
Refine and serve: Sweeten with honey to taste.
