Accessibility Statement

1) Introduction

Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest.
Below you will find information on the accessibility of our website.
We will inform you about
- what services and functions you can expect on this website,
- how you can use this website and its functions,
- which options for barrier-free use are available to you and
- which authority is responsible for monitoring accessibility on this website.

2) Offer and functions of this website

This website is an online store for the sale of goods and digital content.
Goods are considered to be physical objects.
Digital content, on the other hand, is data or data sets that are created and made available in digital form.
Products are presented here that can be added to an electronic shopping cart and then ordered and paid for.
This website has a header and a footer menu.
In the header menu, the products we sell are listed by category and can be called up individually from there.
Each product is described with further information on its main features, scope of delivery and total price on a separate detail page. From there it can be added to the electronic shopping cart.
In addition, the electronic shopping cart can be accessed via the header menu as soon as you have added at least one product to it. The electronic ordering process can be initiated and completed from this shopping cart.
In the footer menu you will find links to our imprint with our contact information as well as to information on the legal basis of our online offer, on delivery and payment options as well as links to other helpful service pages.

3) Explanations on the use of the offer and functions

3.1 Virtual buttons

This website can be operated via virtual buttons.

3.2 Start, overview and detail pages

On the start page, you will find a selection of products on offer in the central page area. Interacting with a product presentation takes you to the product detail page.
You can navigate between the various product categories in the header menu.
After selecting a category, you are taken to an overview page in which all products in this category are displayed.
Interacting with a product presentation on the overview page takes you to the product detail page.
In addition to all essential information about the product and the total price, the product detail pages may contain a quantity selection element and a shopping cart button.
If available, the desired order quantity can be specified via the quantity selection.

3.3 Electronic shopping cart

By clicking the shopping cart button, you add the product (in the selected quantity, if applicable) to the electronic shopping cart.
This electronic shopping cart can be called up at any time via the header menu.
Here you can first check the products you have added. Using the corresponding buttons, products can be removed again or, if relevant, the order quantity can be changed.

3.4 Electronic ordering process

After checking, you can complete the electronic ordering process by interacting with the corresponding buttons.
To do this, you will first be asked to enter your contact details (at least name, e-mail address and delivery or billing address) in the input mask.
In the next step, you can then choose between the available delivery and service options.
Finally, you can choose one of the available payment methods, enter the necessary payment details and complete the order.
The binding placement of the order only takes place when the button provided for this purpose is pressed on the final order page. It is labeled "Buy", "Buy now", "Order with obligation to pay" or another clear formulation.
Before pressing this order button, you can navigate back to the previous steps and/or cancel the order process at any time using the “Back” button on your browser.
If you have opted to pay using an online payment method, you will be redirected from the final order page to the payment provider's system to make the payment there.

4) Legal requirements for accessibility

As an online store, this website belongs to the so-called “services in electronic commerce” and is characterized by an electronic ordering and payment option.
It is subject to special legal requirements regarding accessibility.
In general, this website must provide functions and procedures that are geared towards the needs of people with disabilities and enable usability with digital aids.
The online store functions of this website must be
- perceptible
- operable
- understandable and
- robustly designed
Perceivability means that the information and components of the online store are presented in such a way that they can be easily perceived by all users.
Usability requires that the functions of the online store can also be used by users with limited mobility or intellect.
Comprehensibility requires that the information and functions of the online store are logically structured, easily recognizable and unambiguously labeled.
Finally, robustness requires that the content and functions of the online store can be used reliably and without restrictions, even if users use digital aids.
If there are products for sale in the online store that are subject to their own accessibility requirements, information on accessible use must be provided for such products, where available.

5) Available aids for barrier-free use

This website meets the accessibility requirements through the following measures:
- Alt texts for images: Images in the online store are provided with alternative texts that provide a brief description of the image and can be processed by screen readers (screen reading aids).
- Adjustable font size: The font size of the page content can be adjusted to make it as perceptible as possible for every user.
- Accessible captchas: In order to ensure that entries are of human origin, so-called “captchas” may be used. These captchas can be operated not only by optical assignment using vision, but also by solving simple mental tasks.
- Operability via mouse and keyboard: The online store functions can be operated both via mouse and keyboard. The mouse pointer can be moved and operated in the online store using the keyboard control keys.
- Browser-independent page output: The content and functions of this website are available in an identical layout, alignment and resolution regardless of the browser used.
- Cascading Style Sheets (CSS): A programming language is used that separates the presentation of page content in terms of layout, color and design from its content structure. This makes it possible for digital tools to use their own visibility schemes to display the page content.
- Checked correctness of HTML codes: All HTML codes are permanently checked for functionality in order to rule out functional failures and the inability to be captured by digital aids.
- Sufficient spacing between characters: Characters are displayed at a sufficient distance from each other so as not to impair legibility.
- Compatibility with screen readers: The content of the online store is compatible with all common screen readers (screen reading aids) and can be read and processed by them.
- Responsive design (adaptation to different screen sizes): The content, elements and functions automatically adapt their dimensions to the size of the screen being used.
- Scalability (visibility when enlarged): Page elements and content remain legible in high resolution even when enlarged.
- Strong color contrast: A strong contrast between colors of characters and backgrounds is preset to ensure optimal visibility of page elements.
- Text instructions if input fields are not completed: If mandatory input fields are not completed, a text message is displayed in addition to a color highlight. This note makes it clear which information is missing in the input field.
- Subtitles in videos: Embedded videos are provided with subtitles to enable deaf people to watch them without restriction.
