Hot lemon 🍋
Ingredients:
- 1 organic lemon
- 250 ml hot water (about 60–70 °C, not boiling)
- Honey (optional, to taste)
Preparation:
- Juice the lemon: Halve the lemon and squeeze the juice into a cup or heatproof glass.
- Add the water: Pour the hot (but not boiling) water over the lemon juice to preserve the vitamins.
- Flavour to taste: If you like, sweeten your hot lemon drink with a teaspoon of honey.
Tips:
- Ginger boost: Add a small piece of ginger to enhance the warming effect.
- Alternative sweetness: You can use agave syrup or maple syrup instead of honey.

Apple Cranberry Tea 🍏🍒
Ingredients:
- 1 apple, diced
- A handful of cranberries
- 2 slices of orange and the juice of 1 orange
- 1 sprig of rosemary
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise
- Optional: honey for sweetening
- 800 ml hot water
Preparation:
- Prepare the ingredients:
- Wash the apple thoroughly, remove the core and cut it into small cubes.
- If using fresh cranberries, rinse them briefly.
- Slice the orange into two pieces and squeeze out the remaining juice.
- Brew the tea: Place the apple cubes, cranberries, orange slices, and freshly squeezed orange juice into a large teapot. Add the rosemary sprig, cinnamon sticks, and star anise to enhance the warming, wintery aroma.
- Pour over hot water: Add 800 ml of hot water (around 90 °C) over the ingredients. Stir gently and let the tea steep for about 10–15 minutes to allow the flavours to fully develop.
- Refine and serve: Sweeten with honey to taste and enjoy warm.
Matcha Latte 🍵
Ingredients:
- 2 bamboo scoops of matcha powder
- 100 ml hot water (around 80 °C)
- 200 ml milk or a plant-based milk alternative (e.g. oat, almond, or soy milk)
- Sweetener to taste (e.g. honey, agave syrup, sugar, or a flavoured milk)
Preparation:
- Mix the matcha powder:
- Place the matcha powder in a matcha bowl.
- Add the hot water (around 80 °C).
- Whisk with a matcha whisk (chasen) until smooth and frothy.
- Froth the milk:
- Froth the milk using a milk frother (e.g. CASO CappuLatte).
- Heat the milk gently, but do not let it boil.
- Serve:
- Pour the prepared matcha into a glass or cup.
- Add the warm milk.
- Sweeten to taste and stir lightly.
